On June 22, 2009
at 7:00pm the City of Covina re-opened its teen center doors to their teen community. Over 500 residents
and supporters came out to view the Grand Opening of the newly remodeled teen center, thanks to IKEA (Covina).
Programs: This is a FREE drop
in program for teens ages 12-16. Daily activities consist of sports, PS2, Wii, foosball, movies, pool and
community service opportunities. There is also intramural sports leagues (basketball, softball, and flag
football) for a small fee.
Events:
The City of Covina has
also had a couple of teen special events including a FREE Battle of the Bands and the Totally 80’s Dance.
