What is the SCTC?
Originally founded in 1995 as the Coalition of Cities on Teen
Programming, a loosely based super collaborative, the Southern California Teen Coalition (SCTC) is the premier non profit
teen programming agency in California. We have
over 500 individuals representing over 160 agencies from San Diego to Santa Barbara. We meet quarterly to network, share ideas, ask questions, seek advice
and discuss teen programming ideas, successes and challenges with other professionals in the field. The SCTC also hosts
programs for youth (Teen Jam and Teen Summit), trainings for staff, social and networking opportunities outside of the meetings,
and much more!
How do I become a Member?
Becoming a member is easy! Just go to our Members page and join the list, you will receive emails, updates, publications
and all the resources we have to offer and share!
When are the Meetings?
Meetings are held quarterly in January, April, July and October on the 4th Tuesday of the Month, from 10:00am - Noon.
The locations rotate throughout member agencies in Southern California. Check out our

Does it cost to become a member or attend meetings?
NO! Unlike other professional organization, we do not require a membership fee. The SCTC is dedicated to
keeping a grass roots and 'garage band' feel for the professionals in our field. We rely on sponsorships and partnerships
to run our operations and programs... so if you or your agency is interested in helping support us, please check out the Partnerships
& Sponsorships page to learn how! Just like teens, we'll never say no to money or free stuff!
Help! I'm starting a new teen program and don't know where to begin!?
You've come to the right place! The SCTC offers an opportunity to meet other teen programmers who are just like you
(or who were once like you). No need to reinvent the wheel, come to a meeting or check out the vast resources
on this website to help you launch new programs, make contacts, get community involvement, as well as check out sample forms,
flyers and more!
Do you provide trainings for staff?
YES! We offer a variety of training opportunities as well as list various training opportunities from out partners.
Whether you are looking for us to come to you and train your staff or are looking for conferences and workshops to attend,
